Born in the USA in 1972, grown up in a small town close to Lecco, he began to enjoy woodworking and woodcarving during his college years, and since then he never stopped his love for woodworking. Once he got his bachelor of engineering at Politecnico di Milano, he had the chance to approach to the art of violin making and, once he moved to Pavia, he started to attend the workshop of a master violin maker from Cremona. There he learned the construction techniques of the ancient cremonese masters, the varnishing methods using shellac and the instrument setup. He continued his completion at the workshops of other master violin makers improving the stylistics of his instruments as well as the making and the acoustic aspects.He makes violins, violas and cellos according to the classical cremonese technique by using the inner mould. In 2010 he meets in Cremona the master violin maker Simeone Morassi and starts to attend his workshop where he follows his tips, suggestions and advices in order to raise the quality of his own work. In 2011 one of his violas is awarded with silver medal at the national competition of string instrument making in Pisogne, Italy. In 2014 he wins the 3rd prize with a violin at the second edition of the international violin making competition held in Reghin, Romania. He is member of the Associazione Liutaria Italiana - Liutai professionisti (A.L.I.)
